Case Studies
Case Study 1: A waste gas burner manufacturer had a design problem with a cast iron burner used outdoors. The parts were corroding and breaking, as well as being hard to adjust because of their rough sand cast finish. DPC helped the customer build a replacement burner made from stainless steel. The result was a superior burner produced at a cheaper cost as post processing costs were eliminated.
Case Study 2: An agricultural implement maker was having trouble designing the complex curves of a part that had to survive being dragged through the ground. The customer visited DPC’s Brampton headquarters for an afternoon where we collaborated on redesigning the part. The redesigned part works extremely well and several thousand have been manufactured to date.
Case Study 3: A supplier of drive blocks used in a harsh environment in oilfield coiltube rigs had several innovative ideas for a new design. We consolidated his ideas and added several of our own to produce a very successful design that functions and lasts better than competitive designs.
